TEACHING

I have extensive teaching experience, which I have gained both in the music and higher education institutions where I have been continuously active for over 15 years, as well as in masterclasses that I have conducted as an instructor in Germany, Europe, and Asia. My pedagogical and social skills allow me to adapt to both beginners and highly advanced cello students, as well as a wide range of personalities, and work productively with them. Through my experience as an orchestra musician, chamber musician, and soloist, I can also provide my students with valuable insights in these areas, thereby laying a solid foundation for their potential future musical careers. In my teaching, I follow the pedagogical traditions of my professors W. Böttcher (UdK Berlin), L. Quandt (Principal Cellist of the BPO), and J. Schwab (HfM Berlin), with whom I completed my concert exam.

I teach with great enthusiasm and commitment. It is particularly important to me to recognize early on the goals each student has with the cello, so that we can find the right path together. I enjoy accompanying highly talented students on their first professional steps as musicians, just as much as I help students who may not aspire to a professional career discover the beauty of music and ensemble playing. Between 2019 and 2025, several of my students have won first prizes in the "Jugend musiziert" competition, both in the solo and chamber music categories.

**Teaching languages:** German, English, or Hebrew.
